Die Zahl der Releases im abgelaufenen Jahr ist mit jener vom letzten Jahr gleich geblieben, denn es sind 160 die wir „einfangen” konnten, zwei Releases mehr als 2023. Unser Eindruck: Es hätten durchaus mehr sein können, aber es ist eine gute Bewegung festzustellen. Wenngleich auch einzelnen Songs für den Spotify-Algorithmus geschrieben werden, so war 2024 mit Sicherheit auch eine Art Gegenstück dazu festzustellen: Das Album-Format findet wieder erhöhtes Interesse, es erscheinen gar Konzept-Alben und vor allem ist das Vinyl erstmals deutlich spürbar zurück.

Und stilistisch gab es 2024 sowieso wieder nix zum Jammern, denn von der extremen Noise-Improvisation über intellektueller elektronischer Musik bis hin zum betont auf die Achtziger getrimmten Heavy Metal gab ess praktisch alles. So darf es gerne weitergehen.

Wir werden 2025 weiterhin nach den Releases Ausschau halten und diese in einer Übersicht monatlich veröffentlichen. Das vorausgeschickt, einige kleine Hinweise:

• Die nachfolgende Zusammenstellung der Covers aller Releases, die wir 2024 wahrgenommen haben, folgt den monatlich veröffentlichten, teilweise vervollständigten Release-Listen.
• Da die Musiker und Musikerinnen zunehmend auch Bücher veröffentlichen – Biografien, Erzählungen, Lyrik ... –, nehmen wir auch diese in die Listen auf.
• Bereits 2022 hatten wir uns vorgenommen, auch die Veröffentlichungen der Trentiner und der Nordtiroler Bands, Projekte und MusikerInnen in die Liste mit aufzunehmen. Das haben wir weiterhin gemacht, ist aber definitiv immer noch zu wenig. Wir bemühen uns weiterhin in diese Richtung.
• Es gilt nach wie vor: LP steht für Longplayer (nicht für Vinyl) und einzelne Songs erfüllen die Kriterien für die Aufnahme in diese Liste nicht. Alle angeführten Singles bestehen aus dem Hauptsong plus mindestens einer B-Seite und dem dazugehörigen Artwork/Cover. Sampler/Compilations, an denen hiesige KünstlerInnen mit einem ihrer Songs beteiligt waren, haben wir nicht berücksichtigt.
• Das erste Cover in der Zusammenstellung entspricht dem ersten Eintrag der nachfolgenden Liste u.s.w.
